And finally, after being in bed since Tuesday night, the fog lifted, and all I could think about was getting in the shower, changing the sheets, putting on real pants, going outside and breathing the fresh air, oh, and baking cookies. I haven't been that sick in years, thing is, I just don't get sick. Everything hurt, when I lay on my side, and rested knee on top of knee, it hurt, my eyebrows hurt, along with every joint in my hands and feet. But Saturday morning I woke up feeling better. Actually better than better, I felt good. So I went to the grocery store, bought a whole bunch of fresh fruit, and then came home and baked cookie, two kinds. Then we walked to town, in the misting rain, and I didn't even care that my hair was frizzing. I was so happy to be feeling better, and to be out of the house and looking forward to a beer, more than anything else. Being sick did have its benefits, don't get me wrong. I slept a lot, something I think I needed more than I knew. The getting up at 5:30a everyday gets to be routine, but it starts to take its toll. I taught myself how to crochet granny squares (almost) which is something I've been wanting to do forever. I read a book, and watched some cheesy movies. And through it all I continued to take my daily photo and post to the Capture Your 365. Would I do it again, I think not. Will I get the flu shot next year, probably not, its just not what I do, but you all should, this years already turning into epidemic numbers.
Oh yum, these are Chocolate Chip with Sea Salt! I ate 6! the other are Chewy Ginger Molasses with Cardamom (my add on that makes them taste like Chai cookie)

Glad you are feeling better! I don't get the flu s
hot either. Never have, probably never will. Everyone I know that has gotten the shot ..has gotten the flu. Ironic, huh?
The cookies look really good!! Wish you lived closer and could share!!
Take care of yourself, my internet friend!
(And once again, so glad to see you back in the saddle and on your blog!!)
