A new project for a new year
I thought I would start off the new year with a little challenge for myself. A series of color collages, one a week. Maybe if it turns out well I can make a Blurb Book with all of them. So here's to a new year of blogging, and for a fresh start, inspired by the very talented Heather, by first collage will be white. Now remember the other day I said I had stopped somewhere on the way home from the beach, but wanted to save it for another day?? Well, with a doorway as inviting as this
how could I keep myself from going inside?? It's the new yarn shop in town and the minute I walked in I knew I had to get out before American Express was hauling this girls butt to the poor house. The colors were amazing, the softness so plush. Now you all know that my knitting skills leave MUCH to be desired, in fact that scarf that I started weeks before Christmas is still balled up next to my bed, and every night I look at it, and then my mind wanders to a gazillion different things. I better get crackalackin on that, it's suppose to be a gift for someone special, and I don't have much time left. But inside the shop I had grand thoughts, maybe I could reproduce that Martha Stewart Jail Poncho, and wouldn't it be great in shades of chestnut?? And maybe a nice cashmere blend??
Thank God the minute practical side of my brain kept pinching me to get out before it was too late. I left with nothing but the class schedule for February and a warm fuzzy feeling in my heart. It was a good thing, I all of a sudden remembered the bag of yarn from last February that was filled with good intentions and approximately 3 Granny Squares. UGH, why can't I just follow through?? Good night my friends, and thanks to all that stopped by to wish me a happy one year!!

Beautiful wreath! :)
