Thanksgiving is always such a blur. The massive amounts of food (and drink), the busy two days of work afterward, not enough time spent with those you love the most. My husband must have been suffering in silence for a few days now, but it seems as if we were two ships passing in the night. Him the beautiful catamaran bobbing back and forth in the mild breeze, taking it easy with a few days off. Me the ever diligent tug boat, with an old motor and almost out of gas, trudging from family to work with only a few hours sleep. Monday morning he rolled over in bed, sat up and pronounced that he needed to see the dentist, NOW!!! He was in so much pain that even the slightest lick from the puppy on his puffy cheek produced a scream. So this morning we are on our way to the doctor for the extraction of at least one bad tooth and maybe all of his wisdom teeth. The iMac was also in the emergency room yesterday. After waiting weeks to install the new operating system (Leopard ) because I was afraid it would do something to my computer I finally sat down to install Sunday night, and was left with nothing but a big blue screen. Only a minor thing but still left me with no computer until Monday night. Today also brings the departure of my Aunt Anne back to Minneapolis. We were able to spend some nice quality time together this year. Here are just a few photos from our lovely walk on the beach with my Dad, looking for sea glass, remembering the many days spent there over the summers of our youth, and documenting the things that have changed over the years, and the things that haven't changed a bit.
