Ok, so today is Father's Day and instead of sharing a nice cup of coffee and a bun with my Dad on the deck outside his house I'm sitting alone in a hotel room in Mahwah, New Jersey. Alone because my husband and a small group of Oneonta alumni are all part of the wedding party of our friend Timmy Mendolia. Although Tim and Liz have been dating forever (I mean it, FOREVER!!!!)they have finally decided to tie the knot and make it legal. Why at this point, I'll never know, but I do know that they are the last group of friends to get married. I would love to say New Jersey is wonderful, BUT I CAN'T!!!! What should have taken us just over an hour drive time took double that because of the traffic in NJ. And i would love to say it's a quaint little B&B that we are staying in with homemade french toast and cappuccino for breakfast. BUT I CAN'T!!!!!
So now I must dress and make my way to the wedding, hopefully without getting lost on the Tappanzee Bridge. My best to the happy couple, and bring on the scallops wrapped in bacon (the buffet brunch left much to be desired, so all I had was 3 cups of diluted coffee with Coffee-mate, not even half & half).
